Legal assistance

After six months of membership VAWO members can obtain free legal assistance from our top class professional Legal Services department in disputes with employers. Our lawyers are conversant with all the current rules, regulations and procedures operating at the universities, medical centres and research institutes. This in contrast to outside lawyers who may charge over € 200,- an hour for their services, or lawyers provided by an insurance company.

Our legal support varies from advice and mediation to legal proceedings before the Civil Service Tribunal or courts of law.

All enquiries are of course dealt with confidentially.

Members of less than six months standing may still call on our legal assistance. It is up to our lawyers to decide if they can offer help and under what conditions.
